About me
Growing up in Guatemala, my first experience with audiovisual production was making stop motion short films with my LEGO Star Wars figures and then fantasy battle movies with friends. That early obsession with storytelling led me to train with master actor Juan Antonio Llanes and take a special filmmaking course with director Ricardo Benet, with whom I made my first “official” short film. Before all of that, my very first job was as a tour guide at the Orlando theme parks, translating for and leading groups of up to 150 Guatemalan tourists, which served as an early lesson in cross-cultural communication that turned out to be more relevant than I realised at the time.
I went on to study at ESRA Côte d'Azur in Nice, France, where I worked on local productions as gaffer, camera operator and PA, and interned at the Cannes Film Festival as an assistant projectionist in 2019. After graduating, I worked as an editor on contemporary dance videos before beginning my producing career at La Casa de Producción, where my first role was as assistant to the producer on the feature film Rita by Jayro Bustamante, then as producer of the film's documentary.
Over six years of international productions later, I have managed budgets up to $600,000 and coordinated crews of 40+ people across feature films, documentaries and commercial productions for brands including Pepsi, Pollo Campero and Banco Azteca, spanning Guatemala, France, Spain and Germany. I am trilingual in English, Spanish and French, hold Italian citizenship, and am currently completing an MBA in Finance, where I am writing my dissertation on the key success factors of independent video game studios.
I am always looking for the next project worth making.
